From Borough of Mifflintown: Cross Street Bridge will be open for vehicular and pedestrian traffic no later than December 31, 2023. The Borough is requesting that the School District advise all students that no pedestrian traffic is permitted until after December 31, 2023.
JCSD Families: All schools will be operating lockdown drills next week. The schedule is as follows: Monday, November 13 will be JHS, November 14 will be EJHS, November 15 will be TJHS, November 16 will be EJES and November 17 is JES. The drills will be held in the morning and PSP may be onsite.

EJHS Homecoming Ceremony will now be held in the auditorium at 6:30pm, 9/23, due to expected inclement weather tomorrow.
The Paul W. DeLauter Youth Center's has re-opened as of 9/12. They have expanded their free, drop-in session to THREE NIGHTS A WEEK now; however, there are grade restrictions for certain nights as listed below:
Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 6-8 PM, for grades 4th-12th
Wednesday evening, 6-8 PM, for grades 3rd-6th
All youth who wish to attend MUST HAVE A NEW 2023-2024 registration form completed by a youth or guardian before attending. A completed form can be brought to the center the first night the youth would like to attend. Blank registration forms can be found outside the youth center's front door, or on our Facebook page under Paul W. DeLauter Youth Center. Two adult staff members supervise all activities each evening session. They are open from mid-September to mid-May and follow the JCSD school schedule; when school is closed, they are also closed that evening. They have a variety of fun activities scheduled for this coming year with a focus on supervising group and individual physical activities, as well as hosting guest speakers and special events also. They are so excited to offer a FREE, SIX-WEEK TAI CHI CLASS by a certified instructor, Chris Toddes, beginning on Wednesday evening, October 11, 2023 from 6-7:15 PM for youth in grades 3th-6th only. This class will be offered over the course of six consecutive evenings sessions beginning Wednesday, October 11th and conclude on Wednesday, November 15th. These classes are be an excellent opportunity for the youth in this grade range to learn new skills; these classes, and all activities at the youth center, are all FREE. Attending youth who come to the youth center only need to wear sneakers and comfortable clothing-no sandals, crocs, or boots, and no backpacks are permitted also. The paving project here at the high school starts tomorrow June 30 and lasts through July 13. The front parking lot will be blocked off for a good portion of that time. Please call the school before you make the trip here. We will have an alternate parking area available.
