High five: it’s Friday! It was a busy week here at EJHS, and here is a little recap….
Tuesday, January 25th ended the 2nd marking period. Students should be bringing home report cards today.
Wednesday, January 26th: students had the opportunity to visit select programs at the Mifflin County Academy
Thursday, January 27th: Mrs. Toth’s anatomy and physiology class dove deep into dissection…..sheep brains to be exact.
Friday, January 28th: Mr. Houtz escorted Emma Brophy, Shirley Symmerman, Ben Losch, Katelyn Dietz and Addison Benner to Curwensville Area High School to compete for placement in the regional festival. Good luck to each one of them!

The Juniata County School District has several vacancies for part-time classroom paraprofessionals.
Minimum qualifications are:
• Ability to relate to students;
• Being child centered, warm, and receptive toward children;
• Ability to carry out oral and written communication and follow instructions.
Responsibilities include:
• Working one-on-one and with small groups of students;
• Assisting teachers in presentation of learning materials and instructional exercises;
• Working with instructional media;
• Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with others;
• Acceptable record of attendance required.

Summer school for grades 6-12 will be July 6-29 and be in-person at Tuscarora Junior High and East Juniata High School. Students will be able to make up TWO full-credit courses. Classes are three days a week for 12 days total. Free tuition, meals and transportation. Details and registration are here: https://5il.co/t2qk
