Parents, guardians and students of the Juniata County School District: We hope you had a relaxing summer and continue to enjoy the last remaining days of our break. On Tuesday, August 11, 2026, tentative schedules and class lists will be available on Sapphire.
Our open house is scheduled for Tuesday, August 25, 2026 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.
Our first day of school is Wednesday, August 26, 2026.

Open House - Tuesday, August 25, 2026 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm.

Senior yearbook pictures are available for East Juniata & other area schools at a reduced price of $19 at Stacey Snyder's Studio at 3048 Cocolamus Creek Rd. Thompsontown. These pictures are optional and not required by the school. You will then receive a $19 coupon for any orders that you place for these pictures. During your appointment at the studio, we will take 4-6 poses. You will receive digital proofs so you can choose your favorite for your senior yearbook photo, then the picture is lightly retouched and sent to your yearbook advisor.

Reminder: The last day of school is tomorrow, June 2, 2026. Students will be dismissed at 12:30. Have a great summer!

JCSD is now closed. Due to ongoing snow showers, blowing snow, snow-covered roads in our outlying areas, and hazardous conditions on many secondary roads, all schools will be closed today. Although main roads are clear, the safety of our students, staff, and families remains our top priority.

East Juniata High School and East Juniata Elementary School Families and Staff: Route 35 is currently closed between Evandale Hill Road and Seven Stars Road due to an accident. Buses may be delayed or unable to pick up. Please use caution in the area and pick an alternate route.

JCSD will be closed today, January 27, 2026, due to unsafe road conditions and for the safety of students and staff.

The Juniata County School District will be operating on a two hour delay on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 due to the anticipated extremely low morning wind chill temperatures.
