Band

I think it is safe to say that we all enjoyed our three day weekend, but let’s not forget why we got to have that long weekend. Thank you to all our Veterans, current and past, that continue to sacrifice for our freedoms. We had the privilege of having the Juniata County Veterans Council Honor Guard on site with us on Wednesday, November 9 for our Veterans Day Program held on the front lawn of the school. Danny Reed gave the invocation to start the program, the band played the National Anthem and Marley Wilson, VFW scholarship winner, read her essay “Why the Veteran is Important”. The Honor Guard then gave their salute and Mr. Houtz played taps to end the program. It was a meaningful way for our students to start their day.
