The East Juniata High School faculty is proud to present November's students of the month. These students are chosen for their leadership qualities, positive behavior, and good grades. They are role models to their peers and promote school spirit through their daily choices and interactions. The following students were chosen for November:
Senior Hope Goodling was chosen by her teachers as student of the month for her class. She is the daughter of Tabitha and Jeremy Goodling of McAlisterville. She participates in Key Club, National Honor Society, Student Government, EJHS Chorus, and EJHS Volleyball. She is also a part of The Light, a student-run Christian group that meets before school at EJHS twice a month. Outside of school, Hope participates on her church worship team and is involved in her youth group.
From the junior class, teachers chose Lewis (Kole) Boop, son of Shannon and Alan Boop of McAlisterville. Kole is a member of the EJHS soccer and tennis teams. He also participates in EJHS Theater, Key Club, National Honor Society, and Student Government. He, too, is a member of The Light. Outside of school, Kole participates in side-by-side riding and his church's youth group.
In 10th grade is McKenzie Traxler, daughter of Stephanie and Michael Traxler of McAlisterville. She is a member of the National Honor Society and is very active in the Future Farmers of America organization. McKenzie and her family live on a farmette, where she cares for and rides horses. She also enjoys hunting, baking, and drawing.
From the freshmen class, Clay Snyder was voted as student of the month. He is the son of Tony and Brittany Snyder of McAlisterville. In school, he participates on the Air Rifle team, as well as the Future Farmers of America organization. He is also a part of the Chess Club. Outside of school, Clay is a member of the Boy Scouts organization, and he enjoys hunting and riding four-wheelers in his spare time.
Calleigh Reasner was chosen as the 8th grade nominee. She is the daughter of Frank and Amanda Reasner of Thompsontown. She is a member of the EJHS Snack Club, as well as an avid participant in EJHS Theater. Calleigh also managed the EJHS girls volleyball team this past fall. Outside of school, Calleigh is a member of the Monarchs Softball team and the Wreck Softball team.
In 7th grade is Ryleigh Flowers, daughter of Holly and Richard (Paul) Flowers of Mount Pleasant Mills. Ryleigh is a member of the EJHS Coloring Club. Outside of school, she participates in Girl Scouts, as well as taking dance classes.
