JCSD Community,
I hope this note finds all of our families healthy as our communities continue to open from the COVID 19 pandemic.  Even with the continued openings, there are still concerns and uncertainties as we move towards the start of the 20-21 school year.  I would like to assure our families, the school district is continuing to follow guidance that is coming out from a variety of governmental and scientific organizations.  In order to provide our students with the most effective educational opportunities in the safest environment, the district has convened a task force to consider all available information and make recommendations for next year’s opening.  This task force is meeting weekly and has a variety of members including school administration, teachers, and health care professionals.  As the task force moves forward, additional members will be added to get input from the most informed and knowledgeable people available.  With this in mind, the district would also like to get feedback and information from our school families.  In order to do this, a survey has been developed and the information gathered will be considered as the task force completes its work. We encourage all families to complete the survey.  If you have several children in the district, please fill out a survey for each child.  This will allow us to consider possible differences needed for varying age groups.

Educationally Yours,
Dr. Gary Dawson, Superintendent
Juniata County School District
